Consolata Njeri Mwangi
Board Member
Consolata Njeri Mwangi is a legal practitioner and Partner at C.L. Law Advocates LLP, specializing in family law, gender and children’s rights, and legal policy development.
She strengthens CheerUp Kenya’s governance through legal expertise, policy guidance, and advocacy, supporting justice, child protection, institutional accountability, and sustainable community development.

Esther Macharia Wamaitha
Treasurer
Esther Macharia Wamaitha is a seasoned finance and business management professional with over 25 years of experience.
She has served as the Bursar at Kijabe Girls High School since 1997 and is also an entrepreneur managing electronics, M-Pesa, and Equity Agency businesses. With a Diploma in Business Management and CPA certification.
Esther provides financial oversight, ensuring accountability, compliance, and long-term sustainability for CheerUp Kenya.

Patricia Wananga Nyutu
Board Member
Patricia Wananga Nyutu is an experienced agricultural development specialist with over 25 years in agribusiness, rural development, and community empowerment. She previously served as County Project Coordinator for NARIGP and holds a Master’s in Agricultural and Rural Development, contributing expertise in food security, livelihoods, and inclusive community growth.

Samuel Njakai
Board Member
Samuel Njakai is a seasoned Grants & Contracts Manager with over 20 years’ experience supporting USAID-funded programs across Africa. A CPA-K and Project Management Professional, he offers expertise in financial oversight, compliance, governance, and strategic partnerships, strengthening accountability and sustainability across CUP’s programs and operations.

Ndung’u Ndegwa
Board Member
Ndung’u Ndegwa is an experienced community leader and organizational development advisor with a strong background in capacity building and grassroots empowerment. He brings expertise in governance, institutional strengthening, and community mobilization, supporting CheerUp Kenya’s mission to deliver impactful, inclusive, and sustainable programs for children, families, and communities.

Stephen Kihereko Ng’ang’a
Board Member
Stephen Kihereko Ng’ang’a is a seasoned Project Manager and Digital Transformation Specialist with over ten years’ experience delivering technology solutions in the agriculture sector. He brings expertise in data systems, innovation, and transparency, strengthening CheerUp Kenya’s capacity for accountability, traceability, and inclusive, technology-driven community development.

Peter Kinyanjui Njuguna
Board Chair
Peter Kinyanjui Njuguna is a dedicated healthcare professional and community leader with over 15 years of experience in public health and nursing.
He serves as the Nursing Officer In-Charge at Mbau-ini Dispensary, leading maternal and child health programmes and community outreach.
As Board Chair, Peter provides strategic leadership, governance oversight, and strengthens CheerUp Kenya’s commitment to quality healthcare and community well-being.
